\[
\left(\frac{x}{2}-\frac{2}{x^2}\right)^6 = \sum_{r=0}^{6}\binom{6}{r}\left(\frac{x}{2}\right)^{6-r}\left(-\frac{2}{x^2}\right)^r
\]
\[
= \frac{x^6}{64} - \frac{3x^3}{8} + \frac{15}{4} - \frac{20}{x^3} + \frac{60}{x^6} - \frac{96}{x^9} + \frac{64}{x^{12}}
\]
Answer: \(\frac{x^6}{64} - \frac{3x^3}{8} + \frac{15}{4} - \frac{20}{x^3} + \frac{60}{x^6} - \frac{96}{x^9} + \frac{64}{x^{12}}\).

Question 8: Find the term independent of \(x\): (i) in \(\left(x-\frac{2}{x}\right)^{10}\)
Note: the book prints \(\left(x-\frac{2}{x^2}\right)^{10}\), but with \(x^2\) in the denominator the equation \(10-3r = 0\) has no integer solution, so no term independent of \(x\) exists there. The intended form \(\left(x-\frac{2}{x}\right)^{10}\) gives the term below. Independent term ke liye \(x\) ki power 0 rakhenge: \(10-2r = 0\), yani \(r = 5\).
\[
T_{r+1} = \binom{10}{r}x^{10-r}\left(-\frac{2}{x}\right)^r = \binom{10}{r}(-2)^r x^{10-2r}

\]
Independent of \(x\): \(\frac{10-5r}{2} = 0 \Rightarrow r = 2\).
\[
T_3 = \binom{10}{2}2^{-2} = 45\cdot\frac{1}{4} = \frac{45}{4}
